ARTIST PROFILE: JOANN ROSARIO

Joann Rosario is a phenomenal Gospel artist. I first heard of her back in 2001, when she released her first album “More, More More”. And since that album, I haven’t looked back. She has a phenomenal gift! It is just so precious. There are many gospel artists out there, but only a handful can really deliver the anointing with the music, and she manages (by the grace of God) to do this, and do so well.
She was also originally a member of Fred Hammond’s Racial for Christ choir.
To add to that she has a magnificent voice with great vocal range and a great anointing is upon her.
The testimony behind her music is remarkable; a year after the release of her first album she was diagnosed with “nodules of the vocal chords” and was told she would never be able to sing again! See how the devil lies!! But God Almighty got the victory in the end, and she was healed- Halleluiah!

I’ve been listening to one of her incredible tracks “Saciame Senor” especially (which is on the Donnie mcclurkin album- Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual songs – april 2005) and I just had to write a few words on this wonderful woman of God!
Everytime I listen to her I can help but cry. She has an inate gift to bring you into the presence of God with her music. This is not down to her vocal abilty , which by the way, is exceptional! but its mainly due to the way she delivers the song.
She really and I mean really worships!.
If you have ever had the opportuity to see her Live or on video you will physically see what I mean. This woman loves the Lord! and I loooooove that about her. Her expressions, reels and movements clearly demostrate a pure heart and attitude to worship. She is amazing.
I guess I feel so swept away when I watch her because, for me when I worship I feel the same. Its like no one else is in the room. Just me and my master. As I praise him the words come alive in my heart and I am filled with the essence of worship. Most times when I have to lead praise and worship at church or when I’m at any church service enjoying their praise and worship or listening to any of my Gospel tracks I get overwhelmed by the goodness of God, and I burst into tears because I just cannot comprehend just how good God has been to me!.I feel so privillaged to be his child and I know that I am undeserving of the gift/s he has given to me. That’s why to praise him is the least I could do. He deserves all of it and I refuse to deny him that which is rightfuly his. So im thankful to women and men of God who can minster the love of God through worship and touch lives, just like Joann Rosario does.
God bless her. If your looking for pure worship. Get the CD, you will not be disappointed.
God bless you richly.
In his name

The History of Halloween!

Well, its that time of the year again where people get all dressed up all in the name of satan! (sorry i mean halloween) But do we really know what halloween stands for? what it represents?
I do not celebrate it because having researched the history I cannot celebrate a day that glorifies evil and death. Have we come so far, that we can put on a costume without finding out the origins of the celebration.
Do we realise the impact our actions have on the rest of the world? Do we realise that as we are running around "trick or treating" , there are a group of pagans and druids offering up blood sacrifices all in the name of and to satan to commemorate the day.
If you are a Christain and you celebrate Halloween I advice that you research the history before you continue with the "festivities". heres a link to inform you on some of the history behind Halloween.

Personally I chosse to celebrate life in it's entirety. the Bible says that Jesus came, died and rose again so that we would "have life and have it more abundantly" (John 10:10). Hence we should be concerned with life not death. Selah

BINGE DRINKING vs BIBLE BINGE

I decided to start bloggin again because more often than not I am confounded with thoughts on what society or people in general believe we should do. We (as a nation) have slipped so far into doing what feels right that our opinions now are so manufactured. Not many people seem to be original; everything goes just as long as the society says its good!Nowadays it’s ok to get drunk and lose your respect and your dignity and embarrass yourself every Friday night. All in the name of “fun” It’s become a ritual to some, if they don’t get wasted on the weekend they feel incomplete.Every Monday when I get to work the first 3 hours of the day are spent listening to stories of various drunken antics that occurred during the weekend. Each person trying to outshine the other based on the amount of alcohol they were able to consume in one night. I find it totally embarrassing! Mainly down to two reasons. The first being my background. I was raised in a strict African household, with strong morals and values. Self-respect meant the up most and still does!. Every child in my environment was trained and raised to show respect to others as well as exude respect. And not in the boring sense! Instilled within us was the mindset to always consider the result before the action. So as to avoid disastrous consequences. This did not mean that we lead a shelter life and never made mistakes!! Of course we did- everybody makes mistakes its just meant that we were more aware of the consequences than of the actions. But I am thankful for my heritage because it has grounded me in ways I can never repay. The second reason is because of my faith. As a born-again Christian, the bible is my daily manual I can’t leave home without taking a dip into it. It has been a force to reckon with in my life. Without it I don’t know where I would be today. It helps me with decisions I make and it lifts me when I feel down. When any of life’s problems come my way I simple delve into it for a quick gulp of wisdom and it works every time.Because I strive to make sure that my life is based on what the word of God tells me to do, I find it hard (most times impossible) to agree with any thing, person or opinion that goes directly against the word of God. I just cant stray from it. It has been too good and too true to me, so my opinion is to forget what society says! As far as I’m concerned they can shut up! I’d rather focus on what God says. If it isn’t of God then I don’t want to know. Selah!
